When we first bought our farm, we began with a small flock of 6 sheep that has now grown to about 50. These are mixed breed sheep, mostly Dorset and Texel, with a few pure Katahdins just because they are so cute! These are meat sheep, with the lambs growing quickly and producing a tender good tasting meat. We sell cuts of meat, but it is a very good value if you buy a whole or a half lamb, a whole lamb will average about 50 pounds of hanging weight and will give about 40 pounds of finished meat. Our lambs grow from their mother's milk and graze on untreated grass and hay on our farm, they do not receive any preventative medications or antibiotics. Please check out the available cutting options for having your lamb cut to order by clicking on the Lamb Order form button and then contact us to confirm your order. Lambs are ready fall 2016 and the current price is $7.50/pound hanging weight.
